Jatinangor \u2014 Thursday, May 21, 2026. A team of students from the Library and Information Science Program at Universitas Padjadjaran has won the Best Presentation award at Liblicious 2026, one of the competition categories under Epicentrum FIKOM Unpad 2026. The team, calling themselves Walau Mendadak Semoga Mendidik, consisted of Annisa Dwi Fajriyah as team leader, along with Annisa Dewi and Kanaya Haitsu H as members. The award was announced at the awarding ceremony held at the Auditorium of Universitas Padjadjaran, Dipatiukur, on May 21, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Epicentrum is a communication competition festival organized under the auspices of the Student Executive Board (BEM) of FIKOM Unpad, serving as a platform for students from various universities to showcase their abilities across different fields of communication. This year, Epicentrum carried the overarching theme “Combating Child Maltreatment Through Communication and Community Engagement” with the slogan “Make Them Seen, Heard, and Safe.” The competition drew participants from Universitas Padjadjaran, Universitas Indonesia, and Universitas Teknologi MARA. Liblicious specifically focused on the theme of library collection development in supporting literacy programs for the protection of children from bullying.<\/p>\n\n\n

“Walau Mendadak Semoga Mendidik” Team presented its program at Liblicious 2026<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n

The Liblicious competition ran from late April to late May 2026, comprising an online preliminary round and an in-person final round. The final presentation was held on May 20, 2026, at the Postgraduate Building of FMIPA Unpad, while the main event and awarding ceremony took place the following day at the Auditorium of Universitas Padjadjaran, Dipatiukur. The pre-event series also featured a roadshow, talkshow, and exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Team Walau Mendadak Semoga Mendidik presented a proposal titled “28 Days of Brave Friends: A Collaborative Literacy Program and Collection Development for Child Protection through School-Based Bullying Education.” The program was designed to deepen elementary school children’s understanding of bullying through a 28-day initiative involving collection development at a dedicated library. The team’s name itself was born from their spirit of perseverance despite last-minute preparations, all while managing internship responsibilities and thesis writing in their final semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Best Presentation title was an achievement the team was deeply grateful for, given the anxiety they had felt throughout the preparation process for the final presentation. The team rehearsed repeatedly and carefully timed each practice session to ensure they would not exceed the required presentation duration. Their hard work paid off, earning recognition from the judges for the quality of their presentation delivered before participants from leading universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Team leader Annisa Dwi Fajriyah expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the valuable experiences gained throughout the competition. “There were so many precious experiences here \u2014 meeting new people, especially from outside our own university, was truly wonderful. It even made me want to join more competitions just to meet more remarkable people out there,” she said. Annisa also extended her thanks to all the Liblicious and Epicentrum organizing committee members, to Bapak Nurmaya Prahatmaja, M.A. as the team’s supervising lecturer throughout the competition, and to Salman Reading Corner for their willingness to engage in discussions about the program the team developed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
