JATINANGOR – On Saturday, December 14, 2024, the Student Association of Library and Information Science (HIMAKA) at the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Universitas Padjadjaran, successfully held its annual Year-End General Assembly (MBAT). This event served as a platform for the accountability of the Board of Executives (BPH) and the Class Representatives Board (BPA) for their one-year term. The event took place in Rooms 308-309, Building 2, 3rd Floor, Fikom, Unpad, and was attended by all BPH and BPA board members, alumni, HIMAKA advisors, and the Head of the Library and Information Science Program.
The event was led by a three-person presidium, consisting of Shelvi Nur Awaliyah, Tika Amalia, and Moh Fikri. In the opening remarks, speeches were delivered by the Head of the Library and Information Science Program, Dr. Rd. Hj. Funny Mustikasari Elita, M.Si., and the MBAT 2024 Project Officer, Zidan Apriliano. HIMAKA Advisor, Fitri Perdana, S.Sos., M.I.Kom, was also in attendance.
In her address, Dr. Rd. Hj. Funny Mustikasari Elita, M.Si., emphasized the importance of discipline and diligence in running the organization. She also highlighted the need for careful planning to ensure the success of HIMAKA’s future programs. The main agenda of MBAT 2024 included the presentation of accountability reports (LPJ) from each commission in the BPA, starting with the BPA Chairman and Vice Chairman, Adinda and Ariel. This was followed by the LPJ from the BPH, beginning with HIMAKA Chairman-Muhammad Syazarwan, HIMAKA Vice Chairman-Rahman Muhammad, and HIMAKA General Secretary-Herlin Aprilya. The reports then continued from each Head and Vice Head of the BPH Bureaus and Departments.

A question-and-answer session was a crucial part of the event, giving the audience an opportunity to provide their views and evaluations. This was to ensure the transparency and accountability of all HIMAKA’s activities over the past year. MBAT 2024 also marked a significant moment for the inauguration of the new board. Following the general election and plenary meeting process, Rizqi Luqmanul and Rachel Alifya were officially inaugurated as the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the BPH HIMAKA for the 2025 term. Meanwhile, Cindy Amelia Putri and Nuri Damayanti were elected as the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the BPA HIMAKA for the 2025 term.

The MBAT event serves as a critical milestone in ensuring the continuity and sustainability of the organization. Through transparency and effective leadership regeneration, HIMAKA is expected to continue growing and making a maximum contribution to the students of the Library and Information Science Program.
