Guest Visit from the National Library of Indonesia

The Library and Information Science Study Program, Fikom, Unpad, was visited by the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia on Friday, 18 February 2022. The Dean of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, the Chair of the Study Program, and lecturers from the Library and Information Science Study Program welcomed the presence of representatives from the Library National Republic of Indonesia.

Several National Library of Indonesia librarians plan to continue their Doctoral Program at Fikom, Unpad, this year. Registration for the Doctoral Program at Unpad has three batches, registration in February, April, and June. The registration pathways include the regular, invitation, and collaboration routes. Prospective students who have completed administrative requirements such as the TOEFL TEST and Academic Ability Test (TKA), can proceed with interview selection, select promoters according to expertise and communicate further through the SIAT system. Prospective students make a dissertation proposal in the form of an outline according to the promoter’s request. In addition, prospective students can take advantage of LPDP, BPPDN, or other scholarships. Ten librarians from the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia plan to participate in the selection to enter the Doctoral Program this year.
