The 2026 curriculum for the Library and Information Science Study Program adopts the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) approach. This step serves as a systematic academic foundation to ensure that the entire educational process focuses on measurable and relevant learning outcomes, meeting both national and international higher education quality standards. The curriculum is also aligned with the National Standards for Higher Education (SN-Dikti), the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI), and the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy.

Substantively, the LIS curriculum is designed to produce graduates who excel in information management and are capable of adapting to digital transformation. Students are prepared to master three primary professional profiles: Librarians, Digital Asset Managers, and Information Entrepreneurs (Infopreneurs). With a vision to become an inclusive and world-class information science center by 2030, the curriculum integrates the strengthening of artificial intelligence, data governance, and information literacy.

During the review process, Dr. Rd. Hj. Funny Mustikasari Elita, M.Si. emphasized the importance of synchronizing Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL) with the future needs of the information industry. This aligns with the commitment of the LIS Study Program, which currently holds an “Excellent” (Unggul) national accreditation from BAN-PT and international accreditation from AQAS.

This workshop is expected to strengthen the implementation of the OBE curriculum within Fikom Unpad, creating an innovative learning ecosystem for students. Through collaboration between academics, practitioners, and other stakeholders, this curriculum will serve as an effective guide in maintaining the global competitiveness of its graduates.
