Lecturers of the Library and Information Science Study Program attended the Entrepreneurship Lecturer Training and Certification organized by the Directorate of Innovation and Corporation of Padjadjaran University. The event lasted for four days, starting from July 15 to 18, 2024, located in the Workshop Room Lt.2 Science and Technology Area Building, Unpad Jatinangor Campus, with activities carried out entirely offline.
The main purpose of the lecturers’ participation in this training is to learn more about entrepreneurship theory and get real case studies from successful startups. This knowledge will later be applied in infopreneur and business information analysis courses, so that students can gain a more comprehensive and applicable understanding.


Some of the lecturers who participated in this activity with enthusiasm and high enthusiasm included Dr. Ute Lies Khadijah, Dr. Elnovani Lusiana, Dr. Saleha Rodiah, and Fitri Perdana, M.I.Kom. The lecturers felt happy and challenged because they gained a lot of new knowledge about how to start a startup business in stages, from filling out milestone templates to making video presentations that must be submitted on July 26.

The material presented during the training was actually designed for one semester, but was condensed into four intensive days. At the beginning of the training, participants filled out a willingness form to design mentoring for student groups in establishing startups as course outcomes in the odd semester of 2024/2025. After completing the training and assignments, participants who achieve a minimum score of 70 will receive a global entrepreneurship certificate.
The expectation from this activity is not only limited to providing knowledge on how to start a startup business, but also further assistance in financial planning which is a crucial aspect in business success. The lecturers hope to be able to teach the knowledge back to the students well, and help them to be brave and diligent in starting a business. In addition, it is hoped that students will not only be oriented to become employees after graduation, but also be able to become entrepreneurs in the field of information and libraries.
