One of the main activities was the Socialization of Natural Disaster Mitigation at SDN Cimukti on July 20, 2023. The socialization was carried out as an important effort to increase students’ awareness and preparedness in facing the threat of natural disasters. Socialization material includes the characteristics, causes, and impacts that may arise from disasters. In addition, students are also given guidance on disaster mitigation that can be done, such as knowing the signs of a disaster, evacuation routes, and shelters.

The Jatigede area has the potential for disaster due to the existence of the Jatigede Reservoir, which is at the earthquake’s epicenter. So, it becomes crucial to make disaster information literacy a disaster mitigation effort in the Jatigede Area to maintain the safety and welfare of the people in the region. The hope is that the community is aware of the possibility of a disaster and the impact it will cause and understands disaster mitigation measures before and after a disaster occurs.
