Dr. Rully Khairul Anwar, Lecturer of the Library and Information Science Study Program at Universitas Padjadjaran, Speaks at UNPAD Postgrad Academy Batch 2

Bandung, 2025 – The Office of Library Management and the Office of Non-Degree Education and Professional Development – Directorate of Non-Degree Education, Universitas Padjadjaran, once again held the UNPAD Postgrad Academy Batch 2. The program, aimed at Master’s and Doctoral students of Universitas Padjadjaran, took place from 13.30 to 16.00 WIB at the Unpad Postgraduate School Building, Dipatiukur, Bandung.

The session featured Dr. Rully Khairul Anwar, lecturer at the Library and Information Science Study Program, Faculty of Communication Sciences, Universitas Padjadjaran, as the keynote speaker. He delivered his material through an interactive approach that included lectures, question-and-answer sessions, and hands-on practice with participants.

In his presentation, Dr. Rully highlighted the importance of mastering information skills and academic literacy for postgraduate students. According to him, these competencies not only support the completion of their studies but also strengthen their ability to produce high-quality scientific work that is relevant to academic needs and professional demands in the digital era.

The UNPAD Postgrad Academy is designed as an enrichment program to broaden knowledge and enhance the competencies of postgraduate students through non-degree learning that is practical and applicable. The program is expected to provide students with additional insights to support both their academic progress and professional development.

This initiative is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It directly contributes to SDG 4 (Quality Education) by strengthening postgraduate students’ academic literacy as part of improving higher education quality. At the same time, it supports SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by fostering collaboration among different units within Universitas Padjadjaran, both academic and non-degree, to create a stronger and more inclusive learning ecosystem.

Through the participation of lecturers from the Library and Information Science Study Program, Universitas Padjadjaran reaffirms its commitment to actively fostering literacy, research, and lifelong learning cultures, contributing to the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.
