Jatinangor, November 11, 2024 – The Faculty of Adab and Humanities, Imam Bonjol State Islamic University (UIN) Padang, and the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad), have officially established a strategic collaboration. The signing ceremony was held at the Faculty of Communication Sciences Unpad, Jatinangor.
The delegation from UIN Imam Bonjol Padang, led by the Dean of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities, Prof. Nelmawarni, Ph.D, was accompanied by the Head of the UIN Imam Bonjol Padang Library, Dr. Resty Jayanti Fakhlina, M.A, the Head of the Library and Islamic Information Science Study Program, Fadhila Nurul Husna Zalmi, M.Hum, the Head of the D3 Library Study Program, Lailatur Rahmi, M.Hum, along with lecturers and alumni. They were warmly welcomed by the Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Communication Sciences Unpad, Prof. Dr. Atwar Bajari, Drs., M.Si, along with the Faculty’s Research Manager, representatives from community service and partnerships, the Head of the Library and Information Science Study Program, three lecturers (Agus, Yunus, and Saleha), and the Secretary of the Library and Information Science Study Program.
The meeting produced several agreements to strengthen collaboration in various fields. Both faculties agreed to enhance cooperation in research, including joint applications for internal grants and co-publications in reputable scientific journals. In addition, the development of hybrid learning models will be a primary focus to improve teaching quality and expand student access. Student and lecturer exchange programs will also be implemented to enrich academic experiences and broaden cooperation networks. Both faculties further committed to collaborating on book writing projects that can serve as references for academics and the wider community.
The signing of the cooperation document between the Faculty of Communication Sciences and the Faculty of Adab and Humanities UIN Imam Bonjol Padang was carried out by the Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Communication Sciences Unpad, the Dean of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities UIN Imam Bonjol Padang, the Head of the Library and Information Science Study Program of the Faculty of Communication Sciences Unpad, and the Head of the Undergraduate Library and Islamic Information Science Study Program, Faculty of Adab and Humanities, UIN Imam Bonjol Padang.
