Fatimah Nur Aisyah, a student from the Library and Information Science Program (PSI) at Fikom Unpad, has published a scholarly article titled “The Impact of BNI Collaboration with the Library of Institut Pemerintahan Dalam Negeri in Facility Development.” The publication discusses how collaboration between BNI and the IPDN library contributes to the development of library facilities, enhancing the overall environment for information access and supporting library programs and activities.
This research was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Evi Nursanti Rukmana from PSI Fikom Unpad. The collaboration reflects Fikom Unpad’s commitment to promoting student research that not only advances knowledge but also has practical implications for improving institutional library services.
The background of the study emphasizes the importance of adequate facilities in creating a supportive environment for information access in libraries. A common challenge in developing facilities is limited funding or resource provision. To address this, the IPDN library innovatively established a partnership with BNI. The main objective of the study was to examine the impact of this collaboration on library facility development and to identify the specific facilities that were enhanced through the partnership.
The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, document review, and literature study to provide a comprehensive understanding of the collaboration and its outcomes.
The results indicate that the IPDN library successfully collaborated with BNI to develop its facilities. The benefits of this partnership include the provision of infrastructure and equipment, improved spatial arrangement, and enhanced interior design. This collaboration demonstrates an innovative approach to improving library services and creating a conducive environment for users.
The article has been published in Jurnal Baitul Ilm (Journal of Library and Information Science). The findings provide valuable insights for library managers and institutions seeking to enhance their facilities through strategic partnerships.
This research is relevant to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 on Quality Education. By highlighting the role of innovative collaboration in improving library facilities, this work contributes to creating better educational and information environments.
