Holding a bachelor’s degree in a short time is a pride for Annisa Fitriana Putri Rieswansyah. This Library Studies and Information Science student graduated in 3.2 years. Everything certainly goes through a not-easy process. She has gone through it up and down without knowing tiredness and giving up. Annisa completed her thesis within seven months with an appealing title, “Strategy to Strengthen Tourism Information Literacy for Tourism Actors: Case Studies in Cisaat Ciater Educational Tourism Village, Subang Regency, West Java Province.” According to Annisa, “Actually, my thesis preparation process is standard and not much different from other friends. The key is focus and consistency.” She also added that she had good time management when working on her thesis and was careful in seeing opportunities.
In writing her thesis, she advises other students to keep doing the activities they love and fun things in their busyness for a refresh. Annisa was relieved after finishing her thesis well, from design to finish. Accompanied and guided by Dr. Hj. Tine Silvana Rachmawati, M.Sc., and Mr. Drs. H. Yunus Winoto, M.Pd, she feels grateful to be able to make it this far. Annisa also said that writing a thesis is not an easy thing to do. But she said, “When students write their thesis, consistency, feeling comfortable, and happy must be maintained and improved. Confidence about finishing what has been started is a must-have, although the road will not always be easy.”
“The struggle will pay off with great results,” that sentence describes what Annisa experienced. Furthermore, Annisa also conveyed the importance of self-motivation. Motivation can encourage us to achieve the dreams that we have set. So there is no need to worry about others’ achievements who might be better. Focus on your goal, not what they do. It will make you want to be like them. But all of that cannot run easily without help from Allah SWT, the Giver of Strength. Therefore, do not forget to worship and pray as our obligation as Allah’s creatures. Annisa’s advice for students can be a reminder always to be enthusiastic about achieving dreams.
