The Student Association of the Library and Information Science Program (Himaka) at the Faculty of Communication Sciences (Fikom), Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad), held a company visit to the BRIN Library and Trans7 Studio on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. The event started at 5:00 a.m. WIB, with participants departing from UKM Barat near the old gate of Unpad. The event, which followed the theme “Sustainability and Growth: The Company Strategy,” was attended by 58 participants, including both members and non-members of the Himaka board.
The first visit was to the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). The event began with welcoming remarks from the BRIN host, followed by greetings from a Himaka Fikom Unpad lecturer, and the chairman and vice-chairman of Himaka Fikom Unpad. The event continued with a presentation about BRIN’s company profile, its workflow and work culture, and topics related to media conversion and services at the BRIN Library. A discussion session was held after the presentation. Afterwards, participants were guided on a tour of the BRIN facility, including the library. Finally, each participant received a goodie bag from BRIN as a memento.
After lunch, the participants departed for the second location, Trans7 Studio, located at Jl. Kapten Tendean No. 41 in South Jakarta. The event began with an opening by the MC, followed by introductions and welcoming remarks from the Trans7 team. The session continued with a presentation that covered the company profile, including a broadcast of Trans7 programs, its history, TV ratings, and the role of public relations in shaping the company’s image.

Halfway through the presentation, a Q&A session and discussion were included, along with a souvenir giveaway for lucky participants. These lucky participants were also given the opportunity to visit the actual set of the program “Lapor Pak!”. Additionally, the cast of the show, including Andre Taulany and Surya Insomnia, greeted the participants.
Before concluding the event, participants were invited to a documentation session and a symbolic plaque presentation to Trans7. The documentation session served as the final activity of the event. (Crystal Vabian and Siti Zahra, Himaka Fikom Unpad External Relations)
