The new administrators of the Informatio Journal participated in the Open Journal System (OJS) management training in the form of management of incoming manuscripts, editorial process of manuscripts, and preparation of published manuscripts by the managers of Jurnal Kajian Informasi dan Perpustakaan (JKIP) on Friday (26/8/22) at Fikom, Unpad.
The managers of this information journal are students from each class. Journal Informatio is the second journal belonging to the Library and Information Science Study Program, Unpad after JKIP. Students learn to manage journals under the guidance of the editor-in-chief, editors, and the JKIP editorial team. Siti Nur Fauziah, S.I.Pus., as a training speaker from JKIP introduced and explained the editorial stages in preparing the manuscript for publication.
“A bit nervous but fun. Happy to be able to share knowledge with friends. Moreover, the management of OJS, an important knowledge, can be a provision to be used anywhere, “said Fauziah. Beginner managers before processing incoming manuscripts must know the OJS display format to make it easier for managers to manage manuscripts from the editorial stage until the manuscript is published.
The new manager of Journal Informatio was very enthusiastic about receiving journal management materials. “Very insightful, so the insight is open about OJS. Before this, we only saw a glimpse, and now we know in more detail, “said Ismi and Najlaa, managers of Journal Informatio. This knowledge of journal management will add to the experience of new managers of Journal Informatio to publish each manuscript in each edition (Tsabitah and Rifat).
